Not a day goes by that I don't think of you. Sometimes I think you are still here with us!! I can not wait till the day I get to see you again and see you walking and out of pain. You put up a good long fight and for that I am grateful. I love you and will miss you sooooooooo much!

?Dear Christa,
All your burdens of life are over.
Heaven's gate swung open wide.
God said come on in now Christa
Please, leave your chair outside.
You were given a brand new body.
Without any wounds nor scars.
I know you are more beautiful,
Than even the brightest star..
When I heard you had gone to heaven,
I thought at first it was a lie.
So many times there was such little hope.
But you refused to die
You were the strongest woman.
Something I’ll miss for quite a while.
But the thing I’ll miss above all else,
Is your infectious smile.
Please don’t worry about Jake and Lacey.
We’ll all look after them for you.
They’ are loved by a countless many.
And, that’s what families do.
When finally I arrive in heaven.
So many beautiful things I’ll see,
One sight I’ll hold to be most precious.
Is when you are walking up to me.
Goodbye for now sweet Christa.
So very much we will miss you.
Please look down on us our angel.
Till our time on Earth is thru.

When my dad died the first call I got was from Christa.
Because she couldn’t come to his funeral she wanted me to know how much she loved us and she was there if I needed her.
The when I found out I had multiple sclerosis and would end up in a wheel chair. She was my first call again even before I got out of the hospital. She told me Now she finally had someone to race her. We decided her house was the best racing spot because she had a big hill in front of it. Yall might not see the humor but we thought it was hilarious. Well some days now I am in one and some days now I ain’t. But until Christa called me that day I was so down and heartbroken. She told me a wheelchair wasn’t so bad (then she said she was lying it bites) and she just laughed and laughed heck I couldn’t help but to laugh too. but for some reason with her it was funny because she knew what I was going to have to do and it was going to be ok but what she said next are words I will never forget and till this day her guru wisdom helps me when I cant walk. She told me Tois at least your alive and still here with your kids. And the best part is as long as the road is flat or downhill you always have a ride. You get the best parking spots and no matter where you go you always have a seat. Then we laughed until we cried. Jake and Lacey your mama loved yall beyond words and every time you thought you were gonna lose her you are the strength she needed to pull through. Y’all are the reason we had her this long. You were her joy and her heart. She told me so herself. I actually became closer to Christa after she divorced us (well Jamie you know what I mean) and I know our kids have and even though we were in laws turned out laws sorta speak. She was always part of our family. And we loved her so very much. I’m sorry moving along….
I aint a poet and I know it. But I have always written letters to people I love who pass away ever since I was a child and send it with them to heaven so they never forget how loved they really are. Somewhere along the way I figured out I could rhyme (maybe the third grade) go figure..( yet again it might not be funny to yall but Christa is laughing her cracker off.) So I started making my letters.. poems and always keep a copy for myself so I would like to share the one I wrote for her please..
