Christian D. Castillo, 23, of Carteret passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in Rahway.

Born in Perth Amboy, Christian was a 2020 graduate of Pocono West High School. Christian was a polite and well-educated person who had the warmest heart and was loved by all, including his many friends. Christian's favorite sport was soccer; his favorite soccer team being Universitario, hailing from Peru. While Christian was in school in Pennsylvania, he was employed as a lifeguard at Kalahari Resort in the Poconos. He was proud of his Peruvian ethnicity and enjoyed all of the cultural food when he was with his family always cracking jokes and making people laugh. Christian was a loving father, son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin who will be deeply missed.

Christian is survived by his son, Lukas Homnick; parents, Karla Castillo and Jimmy Sierra; his younger siblings, Steve, Jeremy, Kiara and Jimmy Sierra; grandparents, Carmen Castro and Carlos Castillo; his girlfriend, Mia Anton; uncles, Giancarlo and Angelo Castillo along with his many cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 12pm to 5pm at CHUBENKO FUNERAL HOME, 625 Port Reading Avenue, Port Reading, NJ 07064. Private cremation will follow.
