Christian “Chris” Jeremiah Ricco, 47, of Galesburg, IL, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025 at his home.

He was born on November 1, 1977, in Galesburg, IL, the son of Judith Eccher and Augustino Ricco. Chris attended Alexis and Monmouth Public Schools, and later Carl Sandburg College where he earned a degree in automotive body repair.

Chris owned and operated Ricco’s Automotive Service. In his spare time, Chris enjoyed playing pool, working on cars, motorcycles, and spending time with his dog, Dobby.

He is survived by his mother, Judy; children, Kendra and Andrew; 7 siblings, Robbie, Rick, Angie, Donnie, Eric, John, and Tony, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chris was proceeded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his father.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at 12:30 p.m. at Abner’s (103 Market Alley St., Monmouth, IL). Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chris Ricco Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
