Christian Patrick McCrory

Christian Patrick McCrory passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at the University of Toledo Medical Center with his devoted family and friends at his bedside. He was 57 years old.

Christian was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Paul; as well as his long-time significant other, the love of his life, Ann Zielinski.

Christian was born on April 14, 1968, in Toledo, Ohio; he was raised by his adopted parents, Dorothy (Buck) McCrory and Paul A. McCrory Jr., both of whom were attorneys. Christian attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help elementary school, and graduated from Whitmer High School. He was a lifelong South-Ender living in the same warm and welcoming home, near the Toledo Zoo, for 30 years. He earned his living driving trucks, working for both FedEx and Saia over the years. Chris loved to have fun and pursued boating on the Maumee River and Bay, and riding his Harley on beautiful summer days. There was nothing Chris enjoyed more than spending time with family and friends whenever the opportunity arose. He was devoted to Ann's daughters and their children, who he considered to be his grandchildren. He would do anything for those kids at all times and forever. He loved his canine companions, doting over Tesla, and more recently, Gunner. Chris was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, Papa and friend, and will be deeply missed by the many people whom his life touched.

Left to cherish Christian's memory are his brother, Paul (Anna) McCrory; nephew, Paul IV; niece, Raven; Ann's daughters, Ashley Parker (Dustin), Lexi Munger (Aaron); and grandchildren, Owen, Leo, Lilly and Ellia; step-brother, Larry Bertelmann; and many loving cousins. Chris had many close friends, but none closer than Kurt Gholden, who was Chris's friend for 50 years. Rhonda Mizer was a trusted friend who was never more than a phone call away, and Tim Malcuit, who Chris loved to hang out with and ride his Harley.

A Memorial visitation will be held to remember Chris and celebrate his life at Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd, Toledo, Ohio, on Saturday, September 13th, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. A eulogy and formal remembrance will begin at 5:00 p.m. We hope to see you there.
