Christian J. Sherrod

Christian "Skip" Sherrod was born August 1st,1985, to Abe and Bertha Sherrod. Christian was called home to be with the Lord and received his angel wings on November 30th,2025 at Singing River Hospital in Gulfport, MS where he was surrounded by his loved ones.

Christian gave his life to Christ at 5 years old and was a member of the Union Baptist Church. Christian is a graduate of the class of 2004 of Gautier High School. Christian is deeply rooted in the Gautier Community and is loved by everyone he ever crosses paths with.

Christian is preceded in death by his father the late Abraham Sherrod, his brother Charles "Meechie" Stennis and his brother-in-law, Keith Powell; father-in-law, Jerry Pugh.

Christian leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Ylonda Sherrod, his mother Bertha Sherrod, his son Malik Pugh, Siblings James (June) Stennis, Alice Powell,and Eric Stennis. His sister in laws Latrice Smith and Shaquita (Sedric) Jenkins. His God Sister, Natalia Anderson, His two God Mothers, Mattie Harrison and Joann Robinson. His Godfather, Benny Johnson; best friend, Erik Robinson. A host of nieces, nephews, and great nephews. A host of relatives and friends and the Gautier High School Class of 2004.
