Christian David Wolter, 20 of Dover, died Wednesday, December 27, 2023 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Christian was born August 26, 2003, in Mankato, to Elizabeth (Moses) Wolter and Nicholas Wolter. He graduated from St. Charles High School in 2022. Christian enjoyed working on mechanical equipment, and was currently attending Alexandria Technical and Community College for an Associates of Applied Science in Diesel Mechanics. Christian was expected to graduate this year and had accepted an internship with Ziegler CAT of Rochester. Most recently, Christian enjoyed working as a Diesel Technician at Ferguson Brothers Excavating, Inc in Alexandria, and Ziegler CAT in Rochester. Previously, Christian also worked locally at Ferguson Equipment and Trailer Sales in Dover and Jimmy's Pizza in St. Charles. Christian made co-workers into friends and friends into family at each place he worked.
Christian was a loving, honest, fun-loving, and giving young man. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, camping, shooting trap, football, kayaking, campfires with friends, trailer racing, autocross, and spending time with his family. He was looking forward to working on his racing vehicle for this next race season. He could often be found in the garage tearing apart an engine, grease on his hands, and a smile on his face. He was very loved by all who knew him. He was an extremely hard worker, who saw things through to the very end and never gave up on anyone or anything, regardless of the challenges ahead. He had a zest for life that was unmatched. He was a wonderful and dedicated friend to all who knew him and his depth of caring for others was felt by all. He will always be remembered as a loving, humble, and dedicated son, brother, grandson, and the best friend that anyone could ask for.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Wolter (Andrew Goldammer); father, Nicholas Wolter; two sisters, Adeline and Jocelyn Wolter; grandparents, Michael and Susan Moses and Timothy and Delrae Wolter; Andrew's children, Holland and Nolan Goldammer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Christian's life will be held on Friday, January 5, 2023, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Hoff Funeral Home in St. Charles. A private funeral will be held at Calvary Episcopal Church in Rochester for family and close friends the following day.
