Christie M. Pemberton

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Christie Marie Pemberton 48, of Battle Creek, MI on March 23, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout her journey, Christie displayed incredible strength. She was born September 5, 1977 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Thomas Pemberton and Kathy J. Ward. Christie graduated from Battle Creek Public Schools. She attended beauty school and later studied home care.

Christie was very passionate, and kind. She made it her mission to help others. She resided in Florida for several years making new friendships and helping all she could. We will miss her greatly. She truly cared.

She is survived by her daughter Angie Williams, mother Kathy Ward, mother- in- law Denise Sharp, sister Angie (Reggie) Porter, brother Jerad Pemberton, grandkids Ava, Abel, Key'Wann, Jaylah, Thalia, Brooklynn, Sophia, Julian, Jalen, Noah, Gionni, and Mason; and numerous other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband James West, and father Thomas Pemberton.

At Christie's request she will be cremated, she didn't want a funeral. We will be celebrating her life by sharing a meal since she loved to cook and feed many. We will post all the details once we have it scheduled.
