Christina "Tina" Renee Allen
January 11, 1991 – March 22, 2026
Christina Renee Allen, known affectionately by all as Tina, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Lone Tree, CO, at the age of 35. A resident of
Longmont, CO, Tina was a light in the lives of
everyone who knew her.
Born on January 11, 1991, in
San Jose, CA, to John and Maria Allen, Tina grew up with a spirit defined by both athletic talent and academic excellence. She was a standout athlete at Gunderson High School, earning 1st team all-league honors in basketball and being named MVP of the Mustang Invitational tournament. Her leadership and eloquence were recognized by her peers when she served as the main speaker at her 2009 high school graduation. Tina continued her athletic journey at the collegiate level, playing basketball for San Jose City College.
Tina's lifelong passion for animals led her to Carrington College, where she earned her Vet Tech degree. She dedicated many years to her work as a Vet Tech in the Bay Area, frequently opening her home to stray cats and dogs in need; many of these animals became permanent,
beloved members of her family.
Drawn by the desire to be closer to her family, Tina relocated to Colorado, where she brought her signature work ethic to her professional life. This journey eventually led her to a new career as a buyer at Electra in
Boulder, CO. Tina absolutely loved her time at Electra, deeply valuing the company's mission and the wonderful colleagues who quickly became her friends.
Beyond her professional life, Tina was deeply involved in her community, participating in the Boulder County Roller Derby league as a member of the High Peak Howlers and supporting various animal charities. She cherished time spent with friends and family, whether she was attending concerts and sporting events or simply hanging out at home playing games. Those who knew Tina will remember the beauty, kindness, and warmth she radiated in everything she did. Her heart was boundless, and her gentle spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met.
An athlete at heart, Tina inherited a fierce competitiveness and a deep love for sports from her father, John. Whether it was basketball, hockey or her beloved Detroit Lions, sports served as the constant backdrop to family gatherings. These games were the soundtrack of her life, fueling the same drive she showed as a high school and college basketball star and later in the roller derby rink in Boulder.
Above all else, Tina's family was the center of her world, holding a place in her heart even deeper than her love for sports. She shared a profound and lasting closeness with her parents, John and Maria, whose support and love shaped the woman she became. And even with the many friends who adored her, her brother, Johnny, remained her best friend and most constant companion throughout her life. Whether they were navigating new chapters or simply sharing quiet moments, their bond was an unbreakable foundation that defined her sense of home.
The depth of these connections ensures that Tina's vibrant spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. Tina is survived by her mother, Maria Allen; her father, John Allen; and her brother, Johnny Allen. She also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and coworkers who loved and adored her.
