Christina Marie "Tina" Edwards

Christina Marie Edwards was born on November 21, 1987, to Catherine Marie and Andre Sidney Edwards in Newark, NJ.
On the afternoon of October 5, 2025 Christina answered the Lord's call to transition to eternal rest.
Christina was the second child to her parents with a blended family of five children; Christina was the oldest girl. She was affectionately known by family and friends as Tina and Chrisi.
At a very early age Christina's family moved to Charlotte, NC. Christina was educated in the NC School System. She enjoyed music and dancing. Although she danced with a group receiving awards during her family time, she loved country music and sharing laughs with her dad.
The year of 2007, Christina returned to New Jersey to make a home for herself and child. She attended House of God UFB with her Auntie & family. She was a hard worker trying to make things work. Taking classes and working, she worked briefly at The Heart Center before transferring to the Limousine & School Bus Service located in Newark.
As Christina's family increased her health began to fail. Each round was harder than the last. Christina didn't want to be a bother, so she kept to herself until the Lord said that was enough. Take your rest.
Tina was preceded in death by paternal great grandmother Alease Jordan of Newark, NJ, paternal grandmother Sandra Jordan-Walker of Newark, NJ, maternal grandparents Marie and Stanley Adams of Newark, NJ, aunt Senetha Jordan-Brown of Charlotte, NC, and uncle Brian Adams of Newark, NJ.
Tina leaves to cherish her memory: her parents Catherine Edwards of Newark, NJ & Andre Edwards of Waynesboro, VA, her children Anyiah Johnson, Ja'nai Edwards, & Xavier Purnell of Newark, NJ, her brothers Devallon Edwards of NJ & Andre Edwards II of VA, her sisters Tiffany Humphrey (Carlon) of NC, & Senetha Edwards of VA, her grandfather Sidney Edwards of NJ, four aunts Renell Adams, Cynthia Hollis, Bea Eley (Tidy) and Sakina Ali, four uncles Sidney E, Sidney J, Andre J, and Jermal D; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
