Christina E. "Tina" Higgins

Christina "Tina" Elizabeth (Jeffers) Higgins, 87, of Medway died peacefully September 25 at the Mary Ann Morse Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Natick, MA. She was the wife of the late Diarmuid M. Higgins who died in 2011.

Born in Milford, MA on December 26, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Pauline H. (Mahan) Jeffers, and sister of the late James M. Jeffers.

Tina was a lifelong Medway resident and manager at the Avery Dennison Company in Framingham, MA for over 30 years. She loved playing bingo and traveling, especially to Florida.

In March of this year, Tina was blessed with the title of "Great-Grandma" with the birth of her first great-grandson, Parker.

She is survived by her children, Joanne M. Knowlton and her husband Bill of Medway, MA and Jayne E. Porter and her husband Larry of Royalston, MA.

Tina is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Zachary and his wife Taylor of Andover, MA and Kevin Knowlton of Millis, MA.

Tina is further survived by her Godchild, Tricia Caram and her fiancé Erik Carter of Medway, MA; her nephew Jim Jeffers and his wife Laurie of Connecticut; her niece Colleen Cole and her husband Steve of New Hampshire, and her niece Robin Wood of Florida.

Tina's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and love to the staff at Mary Ann Morse Nursing home; especially Marie, Cecilia, Sara & Jamie.

Tina's funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 2 in St. Joseph Church at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00-10:45 a.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.
