Christina DeHoyos Hopper, 74, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in San Angelo.
Publice viewing will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the Prayer service being at 6:00 PM Monday, July 29, 2024 with Deacon Claudio Sanchez, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hopper was born October 30, 1949 to Santos and Jesusa Hopper in Nixon and attended Water Valley High School. Christina retired from the San Angelo State School after many years of service. While in retirement she worked at the Sunset Mall where she met many people who adored her. She loved fishing, thrift shopping, going to garage sales, dancing, music, and was a very hard worker. Christina was big in her faith and was a very spiritual woman. She loved cooking for everyone that came to her house.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Flores and husband Tony of San Angelo; her son, Michael Contreras; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, including a special great grandson, Daxton Perez; her sister, Janie Rios; and a brother, Santos Hopper. Christina was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Hopper; a granddaughter, Lacy Connell; and her lifetime partner, Edward Lalo Contreras.
