In Loving Memory of Christina Ann Seighman October 17, 1981 – July 25, 2025
Christina "Chrissy" Ann Seighman, of King George, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on October 17, 1981, to Melinda O'Connell and the late Lawrence Edwin Merkley, who passed before Chrissy was born, Chrissy brought light and love into the lives of all who knew her.
Chrissy is survived by her devoted husband, Daniel Seighman, and their beloved children, Emily Leona Seighman and Ethan Benjamin Seighman, whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. She is also survived by her loving mother, Melinda O'Connell, and the only father she ever knew, her stepfather Thomas O'Connell.
Cherished by her siblings, Chrissy leaves behind her brother Brian Merkley, her sisters Samantha Merkley and Jessica O'Connell, and her extended family, including her mother-in-law Diana Seighman and father-in-law George Seighman Sr. She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law John Seighman (Julie) and George Seighman Jr. (Terri), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her warmth and wisdom.
Chrissy was preceded in death by her biological father, Lawrence Edwin Merkley; her brother Tony Merkley; her maternal grandparents Annmarie Blake and Ronald Lee Blake; and her paternal grandmother Ruth Sherman.
Those who knew Chrissy knew she was the heart of every gathering, the glue that held her family together. She was fiercely loyal, unapologetically honest, and always protective of those she loved.
Chrissy had a passion for life's simple joys: flowers, gardening, hummingbirds, crocheting, and crafting. Her brownies were legendary; made with the same love she poured into everything she did.
Chrissy met the love of her life, Daniel, at a Christmas party through her brother, then again at 7/11 and from that moment on, they were inseparable. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to family.
Chrissy also leaves behind her cherished fur babies, Gus and Moo Moo, who brought her joy and companionship.
Over the years, she cared for countless little ones who lovingly called her "Miss Chrissy." Her presence, hugs, and gentle guidance will be deeply missed by the many children who adored her and by the families who trusted her with their most precious gifts.
Her sudden passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
A service to celebrate Chrissy's life will be held at Agape Life Services, 2105 Emancipation Highway,
Fredericksburg, VA.
