Christine Ann Balberchak, 67, of Washington Square in Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Daniel J. Balberchak, Sr. and Phyllis (Brushkoski) Balberchak.
Christine was raised in Swoyersville and Nanticoke, graduated from John S. Fine High School in 1976, and later resided in Forty Fort, Exeter, and Wilkes-Barre. She dedicated her life to assisting others as a receptionist, a private nanny, and through her domestic services for local church rectories and private clients.
Christine very much enjoyed family gatherings, which often involved spirited games of 500 Rummy and Uno. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, gatherings with friends, and occasional Bingo outings.
Her sister, Laura Lesoine; brother, Lucas Balberchak; and sister-in-law, Debra Balberchak, preceded her in death.
Her sisters and brothers, Linda McKenna and her husband, Justin; Daniel J. Balberchak Jr. and his wife, Donna; Diane Brace; Phyllis August and her husband, Joe; Mary Balberchak and her partner, Andy; David Balberchak; Karen Balberchak; Mark Balberchak and his wife, Cindy; John Balberchak and his wife, Mary; Stephen Balberchak and his wife, Gail; and Matthew Balberchak; and nieces, nephews, and other family and friends will miss her very much.
Celebration of Christine's life takes place Saturday in the Church of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
