Christine Star Bartmanski

Christine "Star" Bartmanski, 77, of Wales, Michigan passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025.
Christine was born on February 2, 1948, in Detroit, MI to the late Robert and Irene Gill.
Chris was a woman of many passions. She was known for her love of cooking and passion for the holidays. She was the head Chef at Polish American Century Club in Hamtramck for many years. She was proud of her Polish heritage and loved cooking polish cuisine for anyone. She found joy in being with her family, loving her dog, Boo, being a "cat lady" and decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. She would decorate her home from top to bottom that could put Bronner's to shame. She used to bake thousands of Christmas cookies and pass out trays of them to her loved ones. People began to refer to her as Mrs. Claus and she loved it! Her personality touched the lives of all who knew her.
Christine was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Ann; her husband, Timothy; her father, Robert; her mother, Irene; her brothers, Philip and Christopher; her sister, Elaine; her nephew, David; her niece, Annie; and her granddaughter, Samantha.
She is survived by her loving children, Shawn (Lori) Deanna, Kellie (Jeff), and Jesse (Megan); her grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Dominic, Brendan, Alexandria, Pauly, Jack, Keira, and Jane. She is also survived by her siblings Maureen and Dave and a special "survived by" mention to her niece, Donna St'Onge (thank you).
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at Kaatz Funeral Directors, 71235 Memphis Ridge, Richmond, MI. Funeral services will be Friday, November 14, 2025, at Holy Family Parish, 79780 Main St., Memphis, MI at 10:30 a.m. with instate beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Phillip Neri Cemetery, Columbus.
