CHRISTINE FLYE
Christine Flye age 95 died Wednesday July 30, 2025 at her daughter’s residence in Columbus. Services will be held Saturday August 2, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Bro. Ty Danielson officiating: burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday one hour prior to service at the church.
Christine was born on July 30, 1930 in Columbus to the late Grover Cleveland and Ardelia Fowler Oswalt. She attended New Hope School and graduated in May of 1948. She married Edward Wayne Flye on November 17, 1950. She gave birth to 5 children. She was the best neighbor anyone could ask for, if you were in need, she was there! She spread kindness everywhere she went. Family & friends meant the world to her. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wayne Flye, and her son Timothy Wayne Flye.
Survivors include her children, Danny Edward Flye, Kathy Nell Hudson, Elizabeth Diane Werner, and Tony Alan Flye
5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
Serving as pallbearers will be: Chad Flye, Cory Flye, Lane Flye, Richard Bonner, and Cleveland Register
