Christine R. (Buckley) Haddad, 89, of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence. She is reunited with her loving husband of sixty-three years, Walter E. Haddad, who predeceased her in August 2017.
Christine is survived by her loving children, a son, Michael F. Haddad and his wife Pamela of Shrewsbury; three daughters, Lorna E. Haddad, Deirdre Souza, and Daphne Haddad, all of Worcester; a sister, Kathleen Colbert of Fort Pierce, FL; six grandchildren, Devon and her husband Bryan Strickland, Alexandra and her husband Chris DiMilia, Christine Souza, Brianna and her husband John Keen, Shane Omidi, and Kamran Omidi and his wife Nicole; four great grandchildren, Josephine, Zoe, Kendall, and Rose. Christine was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Julius J. and Barbara (Balukonis) Buckley, and has lived here all her life.
Christine worked for many years in banking as an account originator, for the former Home Federal Savings, Fleet Bank, Shawmut, and later retired from Sovereign Bank. She was a member of Saint George Orthodox Cathedral, and its Women’s Club. She enjoyed dancing, festivals at the church, cruising the world with Walter, and sharing her quick wit in conversation.
Calling Hours and Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, February 11 and will all take place in Saint George Orthodox Cathedral, 30 Anna Street, Worcester, with Calling Hours from 10 am until 11:20 am, followed by her Funeral Liturgy at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery, Worcester, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Walter.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint George Orthodox Cathedral.
