Christine Rose Lovergine

Christine Rose Lovergine, a compassionate, thoughtful, and deeply generous woman, passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grammy, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Born into the loving Sarlo family, Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Christie and Philomena Sarlo; her beloved husband of 50 years, Steve Lovergine; and her brother, Anthony Sarlo.
Her memory will forever live on through her sons, Steven (Erin) Lovergine of Middletown, Delaware, and Nicholas (Beth) Lovergine of Suffolk County, Long Island; her dear sister, Joanne Sarlo of Portland, Maine; and her five adored grandchildren-Kayley, Rocco, Ava, Hannah, and Mason-who brought endless joy and laughter to her life.
Christine found joy in the simple pleasures that made life rich-gardening, crafting, cooking, and gathering with family. She was the heart of every family celebration, where her famous Italian dishes-especially her meatballs, chicken and eggplant parmesan-brought everyone together. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, her home a place of welcome. Christine had a rare gift for making people feel valued, loved, and appreciated; her caring nature and generous spirit were unmatched.
She will be remembered for her selflessness, her devotion to her family, and the way she made every person feel like part of her extended family.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709, the service will begin at 5 pm.
