Christine "Chris" Millius

Surrounded by her loving family, Christine "Chris" Millius, 62, of Vinton, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024, at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. Memorial services will be 12:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Vinton, with Pastor Anne Williams officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the church, on Monday. Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home is caring for Chris and her family.
Chris was born September 16, 1962 in Dubuque, the daughter of Henry and Irma (Fleege) Spahn. She attended school in East Dubuque, graduating from East Dubuque High School in 1981. On April 24, 1982, Chris was united in marriage to Steven Scott Millius in East Dubuque, IL. She was employed by Toyota Financial, for twenty-two years, as a customer service representative.
Chris had many "loves" in her life which included flower gardening, reading, hiking, kayaking, and supporting QVC and Amazon. But her most treasured love was the time she spent with her family.
Left to cherish Chris's memory are her husband of 42 years, Scott of Vinton; two sons, Tony (Sara) Millius of Marion and Zach Millius of Hiawatha; two granddaughters, Addison and Alexa Millius of Marion; brother, Steve (Judy) Spahn of Bluegrass, IA; sister, Cindy (Brett) Westphal of Marshalltown; and sister-in-law, Pam Spahn of Madison, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Pat Spahn; and niece, Tiffany Spahn.
