It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine (Vance) Neace, who left us on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the age of 84. Christine was a beloved wife, partner and friend to her husband Joel; devoted to one another and inseparable for more than 68 years. Christine was also a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Christine was a woman who lived fully, loved deeply, and laughed often. She had an incredible capacity for joy, and her light touched all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born on June 11, 1941 to parents Basil and Rosella Vance, Christine dedicated her life to her family, who were her pride and joy, and she was always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. Her home was one of love, laughter, and warmth—a place where everyone felt welcomed and cherished.
Christine loved playing games. She was an avid bowler, spending countless hours at the lanes, where her competitive spirit was matched only by her kindness and sportsmanship. She shared many joyful moments with friends and family on the bowling alley, always ready with a smile, whether celebrating a strike or laughing off a miss. In recent years, Christine enjoyed quiet evenings playing board games with her family.
In addition to her love for family and games, Christine was a devoted member of her church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Her gentle heart and unwavering faith helped nurture the spiritual lives of countless children, instilling in them the values of kindness, compassion, and love. She also enjoyed singing - in church, as well as home, and spending quiet time reading the bible.
Above all, Christine was known for her immense empathy. She had a remarkable ability to listen, to comfort, and to make those around her feel seen and heard. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her generosity of spirit was felt by all who crossed her path.Christine was a very nurturing soul, and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband Joel Neace, her children Joel (Nykki) Neace, and Veronica Neace, her brothers Jim (Pam) Vance, Tom Vance, her sisters Shawn Green, Gloria Wellman, Debbie (Dave) Adkins, her grandchildren Logan Neace, Meaghan Neace and her great-grandchildren Emmalynn and Ryleigh Neace. Christine is predeceased by her sisters Janice Brown and Lynda Starkey.
