Christine Marie Ross, born on July 11, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on February 16, 2026. She lived a life deeply intertwined with her loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.
Throughout her career, Christine thrived in various management positions within the restaurant industry, where her strong personality and unwavering commitment made her a respected figure among colleagues and patrons alike. Known for her kindness and generosity, she was also a person who stood her ground, earning the respect of those around her. Christine possessed a candid spirit that allowed her to express her thoughts freely, a testament to her stubborn but kind nature.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Christine had a particular fondness for baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Her love for the game brought her joy and camaraderie with her family. Christine also cherished her relationship with her dog, Charlie, reflecting her nurturing side.
Christine is survived by her two sons, Joseph T. Schmidt and Chip P. (Kelly Breeding) Schmidt; her daughter, Juanita Schmidt; as well as five grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy. She is also survived by her two sisters, Sherre Costa and Laurie Wuelling; her brothers, Anthony (Carleene) Costa and Randy Costa; and a host of other family members and friends who will remember her fondly and miss her dearly.
Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Ann Schnieder, and her father, Norman Schnieder.
Visitation services will be held on February 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. Family and friends are encouraged to gather and celebrate the remarkable life Christine led, sharing memories and honoring her enduring spirit.
