Christine Ann Scott

Christine Ann Scott age 70 of Milford Nebraska passed away peacefully at her home July 24, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on October 8, 1952, to Robert McClurkin and Ruth McDaniel-McClurkin in Kearney Nebraska. Christine was valedictorian of her class in Shelton high school. She received her Bachelor of Science at Missouri Western State college where she graduated Cum Laude. She went on to achieve her master's degree of Master of Arts in 1991 at UNL. She was an associate professor at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She also taught at Southeast Community College, Lincoln.
Christine met and married Dallas Scott, had two sons and resided in Ravenna Nebraska where they owned and operated the Ravenna meat locker. After Dallas's passing in 1985, Christine moved to Crete Nebraska which is where she met and married Earl Fosler in 1997.
Christine is proceeded in death by Dallas Ray Scott and an infant son, and parents Robert and Ruth McClurkin.
Survivors include husband Earl Fosler of Milford, Nebraska, son's Daniel Scott & wife Amber of Kearney, Ne., David Scott Lincoln, Ne. Grandchildren, Holly, Heidi, Brendon, Mya, Zendyn, Dylan, Kyle, Ryley and Shelby. Sister Barbara Lucas, Kearney Ne, brother Steve and wife Terri McClurkin, Grand Island Ne.
Christine loved to read and was a collector of antiques, jewelry and glassware. She enjoyed the company of her lifelong friend Sharon who was with her till the end.
Her greatest love was her grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the Pizza Kitchen in Milford, NE, on Tuesday, August 1st, at 11:00 am.
A Private family Inurnment to be held at a later date.
