Christine Waldrop Obituary
Mrs. Waldrop passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at her home. Christine was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She worked in the lunchroom at Ashland Elementary for 8 years but enjoyed being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and traveling and was a member of Bowden Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Waldrop is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward Waldrop; two sons, Edward Adam Waldrop and Jessie Colton Waldrop; five grandchildren, Noah, Aceson, Liam, Jessie and Ava; mother, Dorothy Dunaway; sister, Rachel Saffold and Steve; brother, Jimmy Ray Brand and Rita; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ross Brand; brother, Ross Brand, Jr and a grandson, Aaron..
Active Pallbearers will be Colton Waldrop, Allen Waldrop, Shannon Waldrop, Mike Love, Jimmy Brand and Mike Watts..
Her visitation will take place on Thursday, January 1, 2026 before the funeral at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 10:00 until 11:00.
