Christine Amelia Ruffin Waller

WALLER, Christine Amelia Ruffin, of Richmond, entered eternal rest on October 3, 2009. Preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Henry Morton Ruffin and Mamie Odessa Braxton Ruffin; two sisters, Thelma Newbill and Ada Lacy; and a special aunt, Carliene Campbell; she is survived by her faithful husband, Irvin; three sons, Morton (AKA Muhammad Shabazz) and wife, Carolyn, Ruffin, and Tyrone; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn; brother-in-law, Paul Lacy; niece, Paulette Lacy-Harris; first cousins, Garrett Ruffin, Richard Ruffin, and Margaret Campbell; grandchildren, Patrice Ceesay (Kemo), Tanita Taylor (Lenny), Tarita Tillman (Julius), Martin Waller, Martina Waller-Harris (Kimani), Shekina, Garrett, Chase, and Terrence Waller; great-grandchildren, V. Antoine Waller, Martel Whitfield-Jones, Tristan Waller, Jaelyn Tillman, Natalia Jennings, and Justin and Bryson Taylor; great-niece, Kamaria Harris; and a host of other relatives and friends. Her remains rest at the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 2700 North Ave. Funeral services will be conducted at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 216 W. Leigh Street on Wednesday, October 7 at 12 noon. Rev.
