Christopher Ayersman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by High Lawn Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Christopher Allen Ayersman, born March 23, 1962, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 63.

After a life defined not by limitations, but by strength that defied every expectation placed before him. He met life with courage and resilience, proving that he was stronger than odd placed before him. He carried himself with determination and grace, inspiring those around him in ways he may have never realized.

Christopher loved the outdoors. Fishing and hunting brought him joy. He also had a bit of an ornery streak, something the closest to him came to love and smile about. It was part of his charm and a reflection of his independent spirit.

More than anything, Christopher will be remembered for his strength, perseverance, and the way he continued to live fully despite life's challenges. He leaves behind memories that will be held close by all who knew and loved him. Christopher's life was a testament to the power of endurance, and his presence will be forever missed.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Eileen Green; and an uncle, James Green.

Christopher is survived by his devoted and loving mother, Thelma K. Tyler; sister, Beth Reger (Jason); brothers, Brian Tyler (Vicky) and James Rusty Elian (Kim); daughters, Quincy Potasnik (Bradley) and Amber Phillips; granddaughters, Sparrow Potasnik-Reiter and Ava Phillips; 4 nieces; 1 nephew; 1 great-niece; 4 great-nephews; a loving neighbor, Robbie Graham; and devoted friends, Shawn Maynor and Doug Dancy.

Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, January 12, 2026, at High Lawn Funeral Home with Seth Wimbish officiating. Interment will follow in Huse Memorial Park.

Friends may call on the family 1 hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Seth Wimbish, Jason Reger, Bryan Fox, Brian Tyler, Robbie Graham, Shawn Maynor, James Rusty Elian, and Doug Dancy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Shriners Hospital of Lexington, Kentucky.
