Christopher Lee Bedell

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Christopher Lee Bedell, on September 2, 2021.

Born in Reno, Nevada on May 30, 1992, Chris attended area schools and went on to graduate from Bishop Manogue High School in 2010. While growing up in Reno, he participated in competitive swimming with Reno Aquatics and later with Lakeridge Swim Team. Chris was also an accomplished percussionist and played throughout school and was part of the Reno Youth Chamber Orchestra.

After graduation, Christopher worked at the Knitting Factory where he followed his love of music. He cofounded his own music studio, Buxom Records, and then started working in the showroom at the Grand Sierra Resort. Eventually, his path took him to Los Angeles where he was given the opportunity to further his career. He gained the technical skills and certifications necessary to achieve a dream running sound on a feature film in Mississippi. As Chris stated, "Beyond grateful for this opportunity and the crew who welcomed me right in." Through hard work, a loving community, friendships and an inner talent to always hear what others may miss, Chris followed his passion and was always thankful to be surrounded by wonderful souls.

A loving son, brother, uncle and friend, Christopher was an incredible shining light in our lives. His warm, generous and compassionate soul, with a deep belly laugh and a smile so bright it could light up a room, made everyone feel important and loved. He always reached out to his friends and family with a spirit and desire to help others through good times and bad.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Margaret Orr Contri and Joan Bedell, and his grandfather, Ted Contri. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Contri Bedell; father, Gary Bedell; brothers, Ted "Rusty" Bedell and Blaine Sharp; sisters, Aimee Shook (Harrison) and Sophia Bedell (Troy Wiper) and niece, Quinnley Shook.

Those who knew and loved Chris, understand how fortunate we all were to have known and loved him. His infectious personality and mischievous twinkle will forever be in our hearts. A Memorial and Celebration of Life are being planned for the Spring of 2022. Until then, please consider writing a letter or note to Chris about the stories, antics, and memories that made up the times you shared with him. In time, we will gather and celebrate the joy and love that was Christopher. "Love you, Buddy." "Love you, Man." "Love you, Bro."
