Memorial services for Mr. Christopher Lewis Brown, 67, of Daingerfield, Texas, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs, with Gary Stewart and Randy Foshee officiating. There will be a time of visitation with family and friends beginning one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was born May 19, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas, to Mr. James Lewis Brown, Jr., and Pam Pesqueira Brown. He passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in Longview, Texas.

Chris, as he was known to many, was a man of warmth, humor, and unwavering loyalty. He never met a stranger, always ready with a story or a laugh, and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he could often be found cheering from the sidelines at his children's and grandchildren's games, his pride and support ever-present.

Earlier in life, Chris served joyfully on his church's praise team and played on the church softball team, blending his love of music, community, and friendly competition. Also at that time, Chris participated in his church's prison ministry, bringing the love of Jesus to inmates. His passion for life included traveling, especially cruises, and he found great joy in simply taking his grandkids for rides on his tractor.

Chris spent many years working in auto parts sales, where his friendly demeanor and knowledge earned the trust of countless customers. At home, he was a devoted animal lover, especially fond of his cat, Mr. Freckles, and his loyal dog, Rusty, who rarely missed a ride in the side-by-side next to Chris.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mrs. Judy Justiss Brown, of Daingerfield; his father, James Lewis Brown, Jr., of Abilene; mother, Pam Pesqueira Brown, of Abilene & San Diego; two daughters, Candice Justiss Brown, Carling Snell and husband, Chuck; grandchildren: Eva, Olivia, Avery, Reagan, Elizabeth, and Ryan; two brothers, Scott Brown (Debra), and Derek Brown (Bertha); uncle, Ralph Pesqueira, Jr.; cousins: Steve, Tim, Melinda, Becky & Jennifer; plus multiple nieces & nephews.

A true jokester at heart, Chris brought laughter wherever he went. His memory will live on in the stories told, the love he shared, and the lives he touched.
