Christopher Burroughs Obituary

Christopher John Burroughs, 60, of Attleboro, MA passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Kimberlyn "Kim" Marie (Jardin) Burroughs.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island on September 13, 1965, he was the son of the late Robert Sheldon Burroughs and the late Carol Ann (Kenney) Burroughs.

He was employed as an Asset manager for Time Payment Corporation in Woburn, MA.

Chris held his private pilot's license for 38 years and was a member and treasurer of the Brockton Flying Club. He treasured his aviation adventures and often took to the skies with his family, friends, and dogs, going on special journeys and making lifelong memories in his plane.

He was also an enthusiastic skydiver in his younger days.

As a musician, he was a member of Bugles Across America as an impressive trumpet player and enjoyed playing the drums and the bass.

He was an avid poker player who always looked forward to his monthly card games, and treasured the times spent outdoors and doing yard work. However, times spent creating memories with his family were his happiest times, especially when they all traveled together.

He recently marked his 60th birthday with a surprise celebration, which he fondly called "the best day of his life".

Chris was honored to be a frequent blood donor.

The Burroughs family were longtime members of the Central Congregational Church in Attleboro Falls, where he served as a deacon and his wife, Kim, was a longtime trustee.

As an animal lover, he adored his dogs Freddie and Farrah and his grand dogs Marvin and Paris.

Chris loved life to the fullest. He would do anything for anyone and was a friend to all.

In addition to his beloved wife, he leaves two daughters: Alexandra Dacey Burroughs-Hood and her husband, Zachary Hood, of Weymouth, MA and Ashleigh McKenna Burroughs and her fiancé, Vincent LoBuono of Cambridge, MA; his siblings: James Sheldon Burroughs and his wife, Wendy Chin, of Wellesley, MA; Brian Robert Burroughs and his wife, Wendy Burroughs, of Holden, MA and Leigh Ann "Faye" Burroughs of Provincetown, MA, and many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend Visitation on SUNDAY, JANUARY 18, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Memorial Chapel: of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
