Guest Book
Chris was born on September 24, 1980, in St Paul, Minnesota.
On December 3, 2024, Chris passed away unexpectedly at home in his bed surrounded by Sonic and Tails and every character from the Sonic movie.
Chris attended Wilshire Park Elementary in St. Anthony Village, 916 South Campus White Bear Lake, Minnesota and received his certificate from Woodbury High School in 2002.
Chris at the age of four and half was finally diagnosed, after many attempts with PDD (Pervasive Development Delay). And so, the journey began.
Whoever visited us knew where they stood with Chris “it dark., time to go home”, “here your purse” and many more.
Chris was the “CEO” of Hastings Family Services where he volunteered for many years. He loved being there. He made sure everyone had their badge on and the most important question of the day “what are you having for lunch”. When that was taken care of he worked, then was off to the free shelf for some sweets. Another day done!
Chris deeply missed his friend of almost forty years Chris Runtsch and wanted to be with “Runtsch”.
Chris is survived by his parents, Jim and Lucille of Cottage Grove; sister, Melissa and brother-in-law, Geno Louis of Cottage Grove; brother, Brian and sister-in-law, Miranda of St. Paul Park; niece, Crystal Gwen “haystack” Johnson and her husband, Cameron; niece, Charlene Teakell of Seattle; great-niece, Carlee Johnson; great-nephew, Calvin Johnson; and Chris’ other brother, Mahad “Moe”, his caring and loving caregiver.
Chris will always be remembered for his waiting for the mailman in all kinds of weather, knowing every one's birthday and his jovial and honest sense of humor.
The world of 7321 Isleton Ave S will never be the same. We deeply miss you, Chris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hastings Family Service in Hastings MN and The Specialty Crop in Sioux Falls SD.
Gathering of family and friends 12-3 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 80th St. S., Cottage Grove, MN 55016.
