Christopher E. Coiro

WATERVILLE:
Christopher E. Coiro, 43, of White St., passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Wynn Hospital in Utica. He was born on January 30th, 1981 at St Luke's Hospital in Utica. He is survived by his parents Joan and Jerry Coiro, his brother Shane Assisi, His sister Jerrielyn Coiro as well as his niece and many other aunts, uncles and cousins and Friends. He is predeceased by his Brother David Coiro.
Christopher is well known in Waterville and has gained a reputation for being hard working, passionate, caring, friendly and giving. You may have met him in passing while in town, known him from Waterville High School or worked with him at Pumilia's Pizza Shells & Dough where he has been working more than 24 years, but no matter where you knew him from, he was never shy about sharing his love for all things Sci-Fi, comic book, Pro Wrestling or horror movie with everyone that stopped to talk.
Christopher attended local Sci-Fi / horror movie conventions whenever they were held close to home and amassed a large collection of autographs and pictures on top of befriending a few of the guests he went to meet due to his amiable personality. Something he was very proud of. He was also an incredible marksman using a crossbow, hunted occasionally and frequented local sportsman events yearly with his father.
Many in the community have reached out to express their love for Chris and the family is very grateful. He will be missed by everyone who's life he has touched. In the spirit of Christophers exceptionally giving nature, he has become an organ donor so that he may continue helping people, even after his passing.
A Celebration of Christopher's Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
