I am devastated by the loss of Chris. He was one of my very best friends in the 70s (I lost a car to him in a bet, for a winter, and he took better care of it than I ever did. I had to drive around in his Volkswagon beetle with no heat, show up at parties and see my car freshly waxed and a big smile on his face). Chris was one of the most genuine and beautiful humans I ever had the pleasure of knowing. Seeing what everyone posted about him, I take comfort in knowing he stayed that way. I tried for a long time to reconnect with him and to my everlasting regret I just couldn't find him. My deepest heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. Rest in perpetual peace my long lost friend. I am grateful and honored to have known you.

My condolences to Cole family, Chris was a sweetheart, and a gentleman, heaven has gained a shinning star and the world has lost a bright light who cared about people, he was loving and kind, someone I considered my friend, my co-worker, and union brother. I will miss him, though I know I will see him again in heaven. You are all in my prayers for strength and comfort in this difficult time.
My Prayer for you:
Lord Bless and keep the Cole family in your loving arms, and help them, and comfort them, and strengthen them as they walk through this valley of the shadow of death. Lord let them know that you are closer than ever, keep them in your care, I pray your love over them, In your powerful and loving name I thank you Jesus Amen!!!
With Love Maribel Quiles

I am heartbroken to hear of Chris' passing. He was Stage Manager on many of my crews and was loved by both talent and the technical staff including my wife, Irene, who loving called him Toph. Rest in peace, my friend. You will be missed terribly. Mark McNally

I was devastated after receiving a call from Sharon about Chris´s untimely death. We were friends for many years, yet I was unaware of his recent illness, because of how quickly it came on, and did not have a chance to see him before his passing.
Chris was an an amazing person, who always saw the good in people, and who always had a kind word for everyone. At his job he met heads of State, celebrities, and newsmakers, but he was alway just a "regular guy" who everybody loved.
I am so saddened to hear of his passing, but was so glad to have known him. RIP, Chris.... You will be missed....

I´m shocked and at a loss for words. Chris and I didn´t see much of each other when our shifts at Channel 5 changed, but we would occasionally catch up with each other on the phone. He was such a good man, always so upbeat, and so funny. My condolences to his family and other friends. He will be missed.
