Christopher Coppola, Jr., 89, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, All-Saints at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband for over 63 years to Theresa Papa Coppola. Chris was born in New Haven on October 12th, 1936, and was the son of the late Christopher Coppola, Sr. and Mary Biondi Coppola. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy. A graduate of the Paier School of Art, Chris was Graphic Artist in the printing industry having worked for the former Kurt H. Volk of Orange for over 30 years. He was very active with the Boy Scouts of America when his sons were younger. Chris was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who always enjoyed being with his entire family, whom he loved unconditionally. Father of Christopher Coppola III (Sandra), Nicholas Coppola (Gil) and Michael Coppola (Justin). Grandfather of Mateo and Alejandro. Brother of Albert Coppola (Marilyn), Joseph Coppola (Barbara) and the late Jack Coppola, Maria Marullo and Lois DePino.
The visiting hours will be Monday, Dec. 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning, Dec. 9th at 10:00 in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven. Entombment with full military honors will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CT Hospice, Inc.
