Obituary published on Legacy.com by Farone & Son Inc. Funeral Home - Syracuse on Jan. 8, 2026.
Christopher Donai was born on July 4, 1969, in Saint Lucia, where he was raised and deeply rooted in family, culture, and strong values. He later moved to the United States beginning a new chapter of his life filled with purpose, hard work, and determination. He later relocated to Syracuse where he continued to build not only his career, but a lasting legacy.
Christopher was a loving, caring, and hardworking man who cherished his family above all else. He had a special gift for bringing people together and found his greatest joy in family gatherings. Holidays held a special place in his heart whether Christmas, Thanksgiving, or any occasions he always made it a point to call ahead to ensure that the family would come together in some way.
A skilled and proud carpenter, Christopher took great pride in his craftsmanship. His work could be seen throughout Syracuse, where he was known for his dedication, attention to detail, and strong work ethic. He believed in doing things the right way and leaving behind work he could be proud of. Christopher was loved by many and had a positive impact on the lives of everyone he encountered. He was a joy to be around, bringing warmth, laughter, and life into any room. His presence was comforting, his spirit uplifting, and his love genuine.
Above all, Christopher was a devoted father and a proud papa to his two grandsons, whom he adored deeply. He came to the United States with a vision and succeeded in building generational wealth and stability for his daughters legacy of love, sacrifice, and perseverance.
Christopher Donai will be deeply missed, but his memory, values, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
