Christopher P. Estebo "Keracomaani", age 53, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away January 20, 2022. He was born April 12, 1968, to Paul Estebo and Carole Laustrup in West Covina, California. He served in the United States Navy during Desert Storm, and his squadron was attached to the aircraft carrier Ranger, something he was always proud of. One of the schools he was stationed at for military training was at Miramar in Southern California.
Chris was united in marriage to Kristin Luther June 11, 2011. He was a jack of all trades and worked in many different areas for the Ho Chunk Nation.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Carole (Karl) Laustrup, his father and step-mother, Paul (Aiko) Estebo, his wife, Kristin, children, Skye Hampton, Christine (Edgar) Estebo, Matt Estebo Jr., Winter Estebo, Tama (Jayce) Sallaway, Mya Estebo and Andrea (Trenton) McCaskey, grandchildren, Royce, Jaylen, Tahira, Ivy Faith, King Rory, Booker and Bowie, his brother, Matthew (Sabrina) Estebo Sr., sisters, Stephanie Begay, Katina (Josh) Matson, and Carole Bedeau, his step-sister, Anna Aguilar, uncles, Richard, Randall and Robert (Winona) Mann and Phillip Estebo, aunts, Joanne Estebo Nowlin and Roberta (Francis) Decorah, many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Estebo, aunt, Rebecca Mann, paternal grandparents, Joseph and Evelyn Estebo, maternal grandparents, Ralph and Christine Mann.
Traditional Ho Chunk services will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at the Blue Wing Community Center in Tomah. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Blue Wing Cemetery. Everyone in attendance will be required to wear a mask due to COVID-19. Family and friends are invited for visitation Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Blue Wing Community Center. One traditional meal will be Sunday night at 5:30 p.m. also at the Blue Wing Community Center. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
