Chris was born on July 18, 1962 to Joseph Fiore and Lucretia Borgo at a military base in Stuttgart, Germany. At age 18, he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Alaska and Northern California. He served from Dec 8, 1980 – Sept 24, 1986 and was honorably discharged. He attended trade/technical school for drafting design, which paved the way to his career in quality management. He became a vegan at 26. In 1994, he settled in Salt Lake City, UT and met Wen Zou, who became his wife on June 30, 1996. Chris was a great husband and partner during the 27 years of his marriage with Wen. They raised two daughters, Karena and Lianna, and were instrumental in guiding them from childhood to college to become successful. Chris was a Quality Manager for 15 years at LACO Technologies, establishing quality controls they still use today. He was an entrepreneur in database technology, creating the company Quality Data Bay with his business partner, Ron Brown, to provide databases such as root cause and corrective action, equipment management, and training.

Chris was an avid listener of classical music, enjoying composers such as Brahms, Rimski-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, and Dvorák. He also enjoyed listening to Pink Floyd, U2, Imagine Dragons, and Depeche Mode. He was fond of reading Michael Creighton’s books and the Eragon series. His favorite TV shows included Star Trek (Voyager, Next Generation) and Game of Thrones. He loved racquetball as well as hiking and mountain biking on Mount Olympus and in Moab, UT. In particular, the Broken Arch in Moab was a favorite destination of his. He had a loyal companion in Seer, a German Shepherd-Husky mix. He was a lover of cars, especially Camaros and Mercedes.

Chris is survived by his wife, Wen Zou; his two daughters, Karena and Lianna Fiore; his brother, John Fiore; and his father, Joe Fiore. He is preceded in death by his sister Joanne Mann and mother Lucretia Borgo. Chris will be remembered as an honorable and loving man and a force for good in this world. His contributions and legacy will live on through his family and friends.
