Christopher Martin Freitag, born on February 1, 1962, in Rockford, IL passed away on September 5, 2024, in Chandler, Arizona. A devoted father to his daughters Noelani and Aisia, Christopher was known affectionately as "Chris" or "Daddy" to those who loved him.
An Ironman triathlete and former swim team member at Pepperdine University, Chris' athletic pursuits were a testament to his dedication and determination. He was close to qualifying for the Olympic Trials, a goal that showcased his relentless spirit. In addition to his athletic achievements, Chris excelled in his professional life, passing the CPA exam on his first attempt and serving as a Board Member for Red Rover Charity, where he contributed significantly to raising awareness against human trafficking and assisted the nonprofit in obtaining its 501(c)(3) status.
Chris' passions extended beyond his career; he enjoyed swimming his entire life, boogie boarding in Newport Beach, and road biking, and he often engaged in spirited political discussions that showcased his love for debate. His favorite foods included pizza, Fettuccine Alfredo, Mexican cuisine, and the best omelets. He also enjoyed traveling, particularly to Hawaii and road trips to Mexico with his daughters, best friend, Jeff, and godsons. He gave one of his daughters a Hawaiian name, Noelani. He found great joy in classic rock music, often relishing movie marathons featuring "Highlander" and "Star Trek". His favorite TV shows included "Game of Thrones" and "Lost", reflecting his fondness for captivating storytelling.
Known for his vibrant personality and ability to connect with others, Chris had a knack for stirring the pot and enjoyed playing backgammon with his daughters. He had a unique ability to engage with people, helping them with their taxes and advising them with his financial expertise. In his comedic spirit, he exchanged gag gifts every Christmas with his best friend Jeff.
Christopher is preceded in heaven by his devoted parents, Gerald and Charlene Freitag, his brother Charles Freitag, and his nephew Christopher Freitag, along with his cherished grandparents, Nana and Papa Roman. He is survived by his loving daughters Noelani Freitag and Aisia Freitag (CA), former wife Sherrie L. Cavalari-Mouchette (AZ), the Mouchette/Ellis family in CA and AZ, plus life-long friends around the country.

Christopher Martin Freitag's life was a blend of achievement, passion, and devotion, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy will live on through our memories. His favorite movie quote "There can be only one," encapsulated his trailblazing spirit and his commitment to carving out his path in life. "Peace out and live long and prosper".
The celebration of his life will be Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 12:30 pm at Life Link Church located at 725 W. Warner Road, Gilbert AZ 85233. The reception will immediately follow at 3505 E. Rockledge Road, Phoenix AZ 85044.
