Christopher Brian “Chris” Hammond, age 42, husband of Stephanie Haje Hammond of 1821 Lockhart Hwy., Union, SC passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Chris was born October 16, 1983 in Rochester, New York, a son of Kathleen Marks Hammond. He attended Spartanburg Community College, where he earned his degree in Nursing. Chris worked for a short time as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Union Medical Center, Family Medicine. He adored his children and loved gaming and watching New Jersey Devils hockey and the Eagles.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Adalyne Hammond, Lucas Hammond and Katy Max Hammond; his first wife and mother of his children, Davina Eller; a sister, Dayna Lella; a brother, Sean Hammond and wife Faith; sisters-in-law, Tiffany Iovane and husband, Danny and Tamara Eller; brothers-in-law, Michael Haje and wife, Kade and Jacob Haje; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chris was predeceased by his biological mother, Kimberly Hammond and mother-in-law, Wendy Haje.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 23,2025 at New Hope Baptist Church, 308 Linersville Road, Buffalo, SC 29321 conducted by the Rev. Larry Goins, II.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the nurses on the 4th tower at Spartanburg Regional, for their care for Chris.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
The family is at his father-in-law, Kenneth Haje, 215 Neely Crossing Lane, Simpsonville, SC 29680 and at the home of his children, 342 Riley Road, Buffalo, SC 29321.
