Born Sunday, May 18, 1986, in Staten Island New York the son of James Helferty with whom he resided, and Melinda J. (Aybar) Helferty of Florida.
Surviving are; son, Christopher Helferty; daughter, Riley Helferty; brothers, Anthony Helferty, Robert Helferty; sister, Katelyn Helferty; niece, Morgan; maternal grandparents, Daphne, and Kenneth Orbes.
A Pocono Mountain Senior High School & Monroe County Vo-Tech graduate, Chris was a member of the Pocono Mountain football team. Chris was a talented mechanic, and liked to wrench. A guitarist, Chris was a doting father. Chris was a volunteer Fireman with Coolbaugh Township Fire Company.

You'd be so proud of our babies. Riley's an adult now. Christopher is right behind her. They are both amazing, brilliant, beautiful children. I wish you could have been here to watch them flourish into these amazing young adults along side of me. I made sure you were at Riley's highschool graduation in spirit and I'll do the same for Christopher's. We miss you and we love you. Hug grandpa green for us
