In Loving Memory of Christopher Michael Ianiri
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Christopher Michael Ianiri on Wednesday, November 26th, 2025, in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Chris touched many lives with his kindness and generosity, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Chris never met a stranger. His warm smile and open heart made everyone feel welcome, and he often placed the needs of others before his own. His sense of humor and ability to roll with life's challenges set him apart, offering comfort and laughter even in difficult times.
Chris was passionate about experiencing life to its fullest. He found joy in traveling, hiking, walking on the beach, cooking out on the grill, or simply sitting in the backyard by the fire, soaking in the beauty of nature. His love for music, especially live performances spanning multiple genres, was infectious, and he cherished the energy and connection music brought him and those around him.
Chris was a passionate sports fan, with a deep love for Syracuse basketball, the Boston Celtics, and NY Yankees baseball.
Chris's compassion extended to all animals. He was a devoted supporter of pet adoption and frequently volunteered at pet shelters, encouraging others to do the same. The care and affection he showed toward animals reflected the kindness he offered to people in his life. His beloved rescues, Loki, Pepper, Hazel, Pickles and Boxy will miss him dearly.
Chris always let his family, friends, and colleagues know how much they meant to him-through both his actions and words. The integrity and passion he brought to every role he held enriched the lives of those in his community and beyond.
Christopher Michael Ianiri was and will always be a one-of-a-kind human being. We were all blessed to experience life alongside him, and he will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all.
Chris is survived by his beloved daughter, Morgan and his wife, Jamie-Ann (French) Ianiri. His ride-or-die siblings, Jennifer (Ianiri) Smith and Chip Ianiri; his mother, Marylyn (Bannon) Boyland; many in-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, so many dear friends, including the Auburn crew with whom he grew up. Chris was predeceased by his father, Paul Michael Ianiri, father-in-law James E. French, and mother-in-law, Doris K. French. Each of them carries a piece of Chris's spirit and legacy in their hearts.
A celebration of Chris's life will be held at Plymouth Moose Lodge in Plymouth, MA on Sunday, December 14, from 1pm until 5 pm. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Chris are welcome to join in honoring his remarkable life.
