Christopher Lee Jarvis, known affectionately as Chris to his friends and family, passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 50 in
Galva, Kansas. Born on June 29, 1975, in
McPherson, Kansas,
Chris was a man of many talents. Chris is survived by his loving family, including his two daughters, Stephanie and Sophia, who were the lights of his life. His girlfriend Melissa Del Castillo and her two children, Alfwenna Meyer and Noah Robertson-Del Castillo, His mother, Annette Jarvis, and his brothers, Dustan and his wife Joanna and Matthew Jarvis, and Nieces, grand Nieces and Nephews, who will deeply miss his presence and cherish the memories they shared. He is preceded in death by his father, Terry Lee Jarvis, who died 2014.
Chris's passion and love for his family were evident in every aspect of his life. Chris was a graduate of Hutchinson community college in fire science. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. His career spanned several skilled trades, reflecting his diverse interests and abilities. He worked diligently as a welder in auto body repair, served his community as an EMS firefighter, and applied his mechanical prowess as a heavy diesel mechanic. Chris's colleagues in each of these roles respected him for his expertise and his unwavering commitment to excellence.
Chris's Christian faith guided him throughout his life and provided a foundation for his values and actions. He lived his beliefs through acts of kindness and service, touching the lives of many in his community. A man of the outdoors, Chris found solace and joy in hunting and fishing, where he could immerse himself in the beauty of nature. His creative spirit thrived in his knife making and art, pursuits that allowed him to express his ingenuity and craftsmanship.
Additionally, Chris was an avid online gamer, connecting with friends and fellow enthusiasts around the world. Chris also trained in and enjoyed martial arts. He would pass on his knowledge to those in need or any one that asked. Those who knew Chris would describe him as passionate, loving, and courageous. His passion was evident in everything he did, whether it was perfecting a new blacksmithing technique or sharing his love of the outdoors. His loving nature was the cornerstone of his relationships, fostering deep and enduring connections with those he held dear. He would give absolutely anything for those he loved. His courage, especially in his service as a firefighter, was an inspiration to all, demonstrating his willingness to face challenges head-on for the benefit of others.
Chris's legacy is one of devotion, service. He lived fully, loved deeply, and left this world better for his presence. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his memory will be honored by the countless stories of his kindness, laughter, and love. As we say farewell to Christopher Lee Jarvis, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His journey on earth has ended, but his story will be told for generations to come.
The impact of his life is immeasurable, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cremation is planned. Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Newton Christian Church, 210 Southport Dr.,
Newton, KS 67114. Family will meet with friends following the service.
