Christopher L. Knez

Christopher L. Knez, 64 of Cornell, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 at Vitacare Assisted Living in Bloomer, WI. Christopher was born March 5th, 1959 to Charles and Lillie (Hyland) Knez. Christopher grew up in Cornell, Wisconsin and attended Cornell schools until his Junior year of High School, when his family moved to Fall Creek. He graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1979. After High School he ended up moving back to Cornell.
Christopher met Wanda Jensen in November of 1982, and were married the following year on May 30th, 1983. He was a truck driver for Chippewa Rendering and also worked a variety of other jobs too.
Christopher enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and cast-iron cooking over the open fire. He was a senior member of The Northern Extreme offroad Crew, a Director of The Chippewa River Rendezvous, and also enjoyed volunteering at The Local Food Pantry. Christopher was a devoted husband and father, who loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Christopher is survived by his wife- Wanda; his three children- Kris Knez, Nicholaus Knez, and Justin Knez, all of Cornell; two brothers- Charles (Nancy) Knez of Marshfield, WI, Raymond (Rita) Knez of Boyd, WI, and one sister, Wanda (Aurther) Langel of Cornell, WI; sister-in-law Judy Knez of Boyd, WI, brother-in law Denny Yousse of Sarasota, FL, and Rod (Michelle) Jensen of Cornell, WI; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents- Charles and Lillie, brothers and sisters- Dennis Knez, Kathy Yousse, Penny (David) Tirrel, infant brother Tommy Knez, and Charles Jensen.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday May 20th, 2023, at The Wisconsin Veteran Farm LLC. & Winery located at 921 S. 8th ST. in Cornell, WI from 1pm-5pm.
