Christopher J. Lawrence

Christopher J. Lawrence, age 34 of Baraga, MI passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 in Oak Creek, WI. He was born in El Paso, Texas on October 12, 1987 the son of Susie Lawrence and Barton Lawrence, Jr. Christopher graduated from Baraga High School in 2005 and attended Michigan Tech University, Houghton, MI. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Baraga. Christopher proudly served in the United States Army in Iraq. He had worked in various mining and construction industries. Christopher enjoyed snowboarding, skiing, playing hockey, golfing and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He truly loved spending time with his family and cousins.
Christopher is survived by is loving family; mother Susie Lawrence of Baraga, father Barton (Jill) Lawrence, Jr of Huntsville, Alabama, brothers Daniel and Joseph Lawrence both of Huntsville, Alabama, sisters Marissa Lawrence of San Antonio, Texas, Maddie Ruuspakka of Baraga and Bella Taisto of Baraga, grandmothers Dorothy Mayo and Marcella Lawrence, and aunts and uncles Tim (Diane) Mayo, Scott (Popcorn) Mayo, Dawn (John) Kemppainen, Robert (Brenda) Mayo, Jr., David (Elizabeth) Lawrence, Anthony Lawrence and Norman (Sandy) Lawrence and their families. He was preceded in death by is grandfathers Robert Mayo, Sr and Barton Lawrence, Sr and his uncle Jason Mayo.
A private family funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Baraga and interment will take place in the Baraga Cemetery.
