Christopher W. Lepperd, 61 of Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Alden Estates of Jefferson.
Chris was born on July 4, 1963, in Portsmouth, VA, the son of Walter and Phyllis (Baker) Lepperd. He graduated from Waukesha North High School in 1981 and joined the US Navy soon after. He served from 1981 – 1985, as a Medic. Chris was proud of his military service, but it didn't define his life. He was an automotive salesperson for many years, working for various dealerships in the area. Chris was a "Car Guy" through and through, a music buff, and a smart, witty and large man, who loved and appreciated nearly everyone! Chris was a person who valued his freedom greatly, and his family and friends admired his kind, easy-going nature. He will be missed.
Chris is survived by: his son Dakota (Espie) Lepperd of Columbus, OH; siblings Susan (Jeff) Van der Velde of Dousman, Matthew (Catrina) Lepperd of Eagle, and Andrew (Holly) Lepperd of Waterloo; and nieces and nephews Caitlin (Chad), Zachary, Jared (Tracy), Hannah, Scarlett, Carson, Paige, and William. He is also survived by other family and friends.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home in Jefferson. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home with military honors to follow. He will be buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Eagle.
