Christopher David Lippert

My sincere condolences on the passing of Chris. He was a friend, a client and good man. I am grateful for his friendship and will miss him. We had a long personal and professional relationship dating back to Shawmut Bank, and I could always count on Chris - even on the soccer field when he was blowing the whistle. I was not aware of his illness and battle and am so sorry this happened so suddenly as I know that Chris was in a good place last we spoke. He loved his family and was a good banker, a decent referee and a super nice friend. Rest in peace.

My Condolences to the Lippert Family. I didn't know Chris well until the past couple years. I want to Thank him for being a Good Step Father to My Daughters and Son, Kathleen, Jackie, and Michael. Also a Good Grandfather to my Grandchildren Stephen, Kiera, and Teddy. And I know Chris would've have enjoyed Jack McMillan our newest addition. I could not have asked for a better Stepfather or Step-Grandfather to entrust and keep them Safe. May you Rest in Peace Chris Lippert and it is my loss that I didn't get to know You sooner. You were a Good Father, Stepfather, Step Grandfather and Husband and even though you achieved so much in life I think if being a Good Father Husband Grandfather Step or not and Friend is the way people remember you, that alone makes you alright in my eyes. RIP A true friend whom I worked with in the banking industry during the late 1980's. A great banker in the good, and the bad, days who helped others in their careers as well. He had a fabulous sense of humor which only the intelligent could understand and participate in.
Chris was a good man who made a difference in many peoples lives.

Chris (in my head, always "Mr. Lippert") was integral in my child's scouting career. He encouraged Finn to move from, "I don't know what to do," to, "What needs to be done, and how can I make it better?"

Because of Mr. Lippert, Finn went to National Youth Leadership Training the summer he turned 13. Finn came out of that changed, and with a feeling of responsibility in how the troop worked for everyone involved.

Even after moving away from Melrose, Mr. Lippert's influence on Finn continued, which helped carry the new scouts in Finn's new troop through the first years during the COVID lockdown.

Later, when it came to Finn's Eagle project, Chris was instrumental in helping to refine it, and guided Finn to the final plan, allowing Finn to do all the project management needed to finish Eagle. Later, even though we were no longer part of Troop 635, Mr. Lippert came to Finn's Eagle Ceremony, and presented "Top of the Mountain," at Finn's request.

Mr. Lippert's smile was contagious, as was his drive.
He always believed things could be better, and we could make it that way.

The world is slightly darker, now, without him, but because of him, we all carry a bit more desire to find how we can make things work.

Chris and I became friends through Scouting. We first met in 2006 during a ten-week training program for adult leaders. We were members of the same patrol. I admired Chris´s serious commitment to Scouting, its ideals and the opportunities it offered to youth. Chris went above and beyond in his service to Scouting youth by being an advocate for disability rights and helping Scouts, leaders, and parents achieve their fullest potential. He was quiet in his pursuit of excellence as he fulfilled perhaps the most important part of the Scout Oath, to help others at all times. I´ll miss him and the lost opportunities that could have been.

Dear Lippert family, we are saddened by the loss of Chris but comforted by the memories we shared at Scouting events together. Unfortunately, we will be unable to attend the services, but we will be taking a crew of Scouts to Northern Tier high adventure base starting on Saturday and we will keep Chris in our thoughts and hearts and will keep your family in our prayers. May he rest in peace in the hands of the Lord.
