Christopher William Lorman

Christopher William (Chris) Lorman (59), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on March 22, 2024, born on June 23, 1964, to the late Bill and Harriet Lorman (nee Pratt), Chris was a long-time resident of Kansas and a pillar of the community he so dearly loved.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he pursued his passion and started his career in the medical field. Chris was known for his huge heart and his need to help others. Whether it be dressing up as Santa Claus, the Grinch or the Easter bunny, Chris was always willing and ready to spread cheer and place smiles on so many faces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark S. Lorman. Chris is survived by his husband, Rick Dunn; former wife and mother of his children, Patty A. Lorman; his children, Cyndi D. (David) Durkin, Cassi D. (Kiesha) Lorman; grandchildren, Jameson D. Durkin, Kyleigh A. Durkin, Leila R. Barfield; sister Robin E. (Jose) Martinez; niece Melissa E. Martinez; nephew Brandon J. Martinez; and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Chris, contributions may be made to American Heart Association or AIDS Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
The funeral ceremony will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2024, with a visitation from 2 p.m. until service time at Warren-McElwain Mortuary 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, Kansas 66044.
