Christopher Lowe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Abbey Cremation Service - Rocky Hill on Mar. 13, 2026.
Christopher Edmund Lowe left this world in one final blaze of glory on the morning of February 10, 2026.

Chris was born in New Haven on September 27, 1980. He attended Hamden Hall as a younger child. He later transferred to Adams Middle School and Guilford High School. A rabblerouser from the start, Chris's hobbies included playing videogames, banging on drums, and getting his siblings in trouble on numerous occasions.

Chris was a big fan of professional wrestling. He watched several matches live and competed for a while in local matches. Folding chairs and tables in the vicinity of Middlesex Community College rarely were safe.

Chris spent his twenties working many different jobs. In his late twenties, Chris was diagnosed with a chronic illness. Undeterred by the diagnosis, Chris continued to live life to its fullest. He enjoyed gaming, horror movies, loud rock, and discussing politics with anyone who would listen.

Chris had a charming side, too. Many of the nurses, aides, and others in his life would ask about him as he moved from facility to facility during his last few years. Chris undoubtedly left an impression on everyone in his life.

Chris is survived by his father and step-mother Bob Lowe and Marie Follo of North Branford; his brother Rob Lowe and partner Jennifer Mace of Morrisville, Vermont; his sister Lauren Lowe of Reno, Nevada; his step-sister and brother-in-law Pamela and Jim Badolato of Malvern, Pennsylvania; his step-sister and brother-in-law Kristina and Craig Bruce of East Haven; his step-grandfather Chick Follo of East Haven; his uncle and aunt Kevin and Carolyn Downey of East Haven; his aunt and uncle Evelyn and David Lounsbury of Naples, Florida; his uncle Paul Downey of Shelton; his uncle Frank Lowe and partner Heidi Parks of Amsterdam, New York; his aunt Darra Page and partner Mike Argo of Hamden; his uncle Sal Follo of East Haven; his uncle Joey Follo of East Haven; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Chris was pre-deceased by his mother, Alyce Downey; his grandparents Robert Lowe, Sr., Carmela Lowe, Kenneth Downey, Sr., and Simone Downey; his uncle Kenny Downey; and his step-grandmother Pam Follo.

A memorial of Chris's life will be held at a future date for family.
