Christopher James Lyons passed away on September 5, 2024, in Katy, Texas. Born on April 24, 1973, in Houston, Texas, he was a dedicated serviceman and a beloved family member.

Chris graduated from Sharpstown High School before embarking on a distinguished 20 and a half year career in the Army. His military journey took him across the United States and abroad, with postings at Fort Hood, TX; Visleck, Germany; Fort Carson, CO; Schofield Barracks, HI; Fort Knox, KY; Fort Bragg, NC and Vicenza, Italy. His commitment to service also included deployments to Afghanistan (2003 - 2004, 2012- 2013) and Iraq (2006-2008), where he demonstrated exceptional dedication and bravery.

After Chris' career in the Military he worked at Ashland in Nederland, TX, Cintas in Houston, TX and Westlake in Katy, TX.

Chris was a huge Houston Texan fan and enjoyed watching games and with friends and family. Always one to accept an invitation to meet up for a beer, he had many friends near and far. His laugh was infectious and genuine.

Chris is survived by his brothers, Timothy Brian Lyons, Michael Patrick Lyons and Michael's wife Jennifer Lyons, his ex-wife and best friend Maegan Lyons and nephews Joseph Zachary Lyons and Austin Brian Lyons and nieces Kaitlyn Sue Lyons and Ashlee Nicole Lyons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reba Ann Lyons and Joseph Peter Lyons and brothers Joseph Eric Lyons and Frank Anthony Lyons. Boy Scouts camp at El Rancho Cima dad´s week. I remember the dads took us out to the middle of nowhere and told us to find our way back to camp (probably so they could drink beers in peace) it was 175 degrees if it was 90
Dehydrated and likely heat stroke but we somehow got back.
