Although I never had the honor of meeting Dr. Christopher Fletcher in person, as a pathologist I sent my most challenging cases to him. His careful & excellent diagnostic reports were always accurate and timely, and almost always included references from his own research! He was a very great person, physician & scientist who will be sorely missed & fondly remembered by the pathology community.

Dr. Fletcher, Heaven gained the most giving human I have ever met. I think of you often. You still make laugh of course. My life became better working for you and knowing you. I hope your resting in the sweetest peace surrounded by a beautiful garden and music you so loved. You are missed!

When I worked for Dr. Fletcher and received a hard diagnosis for a younger patient he knew it was sad, but necessary to get the diagnosis correct and in the hands of the sender ASAP. I always saw behind the stern work look, he was thorough, thoughtful and gave his all. I will say again how blessed I was to be in his orbit.
Sending love to Dr. Fletcher´s family & loved ones.

Dr. Fletcher was not only a brilliant pathologist but a true gentleman and professional. I was fortunate to be one of his fellows and learned so much during the time I spent with him. His sign outs were legendary - informative and entertaining. Even after leaving BWH, I kept in contact with him over my career,, sending him cases from time to time.
He was always so gracious and timely in his response. I enjoyed sending him Christmas cards of my family as it grew over the years (from just married during fellowship to 4 kids later). He would always respond when he received the card with warm, kind words.
There will be never be anyone like him and I am heart broken to hear of his passing. Rest in peace Dr. Fletcher.
