Mac was such a wonderful person. When he was stationed at Fort Benning as SGT McDonald, he was my assistant QA, part of my family and very loved. He was one of the smartest people I know. Everyone at Benning and retired is devastated when we heard this news. I´m just sorry we didn´t know in time for his memorial. He will definitely be missed and in our hearts always.

He was a great mentor and did so much to help so many soldiers he had never met. He was one of the few who taught me how to lead.
