Christopher Wayne McPeek

Christopher Wayne McPeek, 56, of Brooklyn, MI, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025. Chris' family and friends will gather from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born on June 27, 1969, in Lincoln Park, MI, to Jimmy and Peggy (Smallwood) McPeek. Chris graduated from Melvindale High School in 1987. He married Kimberly Anne Stripp, on September 15, 2012, at Hidden Lake Gardens. Chris grew up in Melvindale, MI, and then moved to the Irish Hills area in 2002. Chris was a custom car body painter for many years. He was very talented at painting cars, with a few of his cars being shown in magazines. Chris met his future wife at the Clinton Café in 2003. In 2005, they bought the Irish Hills Marina and ran the business together, which flourished as the years passed. Chris loved golfing, spending time near water, especially on the boat. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football, where his favorite teams were the Lions and Michigan. Chris would go to "Big Boy Breakfast" every morning. He was a dad to none, but a father to many. Chris opened his home and his heart to many children, who needed a father figure. He taught them all the things that a father teaches their child, from manners to how to budget and be an adult. Chris would create an environment that allowed the children the opportunity to experience new things and to truly experience having a loving and caring family. He will be remembered as a caring and loving husband, chosen father and friend, who had a personality that everyone was drawn to. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Chris will be missed by his wife, Kimberly McPeek; his naughter, Hali (Tristin) Stripp; his chosen child, Cody (Crystal) Abbott; his father, Jimmy McPeek; his brother, Jim (Susan Thomas) McPeek; his uncle and 2nd father, Robert (Charlotte) McPeek; his cousin, Yvette (George) McGuckin; his nieces, Elisabeth Stripp and Ashley Thomas; his nephew, David Stetler, his great niece, Emma; his dog, Bella; and many extended family members and close friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy McPeek.
