Christopher Vincent Gennaro Mellis 12 June 1989 – 10 April 2009 234 Robertson Street Williamsburg, VA 23185 Survivors;Parents, Donna and Jerry Mellis, Sister, Jennifer Mellis Brothers, Adam and his wife Heather Mellis, Matthew Mellis, Aaron and his wife Staci Mellis and Jonathan Mellis Aunt and Uncle, Marie and Roger McIntosh Cousins, Heather McIntosh and Roger McIntosh and his children Madelynne and Corey McItosh. Nephews, Corbin Coranel, Justice Mellis, Nathan Mellis, Austin Mellis, Trevor Richards Nieces, Izabella and Tia-Lin Otey Christopher was born in Monmouth County, NJ and lived his childhood life in Freehold, NJ. After moving to Virginia he began school at Rawls Byrd Elementary and subsequently attended Clara Byrd Baker Elementary, Berkeley Middle School, Williamsburg Christian Academy and Jamestown High School. His sport of choice was soccer and he played on several teams in the James City County Recreation League. Christopher traveled to San Francisco, CA and Nyac New York visiting his traveling parent and enjoying Carmel Beach and the Mars Restaurant in New York City. While in High School and afterward he worked at Miyako Japanese Restaurant, Green Leafe Café, and Paul's Deli Restaurant. He shared an apartment at his parents' home with Daniel Harrel, and had many friends of his age and was well liked by all whom he came in contact with, young and old. The family will receive friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Wednesday, April 15, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg. A funeral mass will be held at St. Bede Catholic Church on Thursday, April 16, at 11am. On-line condolences may be registered at www.nelsencares.com.
